• Krazy World at Algoz: A family day out with plenty to do. It's a small zoo and also has krazy golf,  a playground area, animal petting farm, pony rides for the younger ones and a pool to relax by. There are bars and a restaraunt as well. 
  Opening hours are 10.00h to 19.30h during July and August, open daily. The rest of the year: 10.00h to 18.00h (closed Mondays and Tuesdays).

• Aqualand (The Big One): Water park near Alcantarilha. Open from 26th May to 12th September (2008) 10.00h to 18.00h.

Churches in and around Armação de Pêra

• Main Church of Nossa Senhora dos Navegantes in Armação de Pêra.
  
  
• Chapel of Nossa Senhora da Rocha (Our Lady of the Rock) - a tiny chapel on the cliff top above Praia da Senhora da Rocha from the 17th century, although parts of it are much older. The wooden image of the Virgin Mary dates from the 16th century.
  
   

• 18th century Church of St. Anthony in Armação de Pêra: The little church is inside the remains of the 17th century fort on the water front in Armação de Pêra.
  
  

• Pêra Church - the main Church  in the town of Pêra is 18th century.

• Church of Third Order of St. Francis, also in Pêra and again dates from the 18th century. It contains paintings by the Algarvean artist Rasquinho.

• Alcantarilha - the maneuline chapel from the 16th century still remains but the structure was added to in the 17th and 18th centuries. Next door is the Chapel of Bones where the walls and ceiling are covered with skulls.

• Alcantarilha - Misericórdia Church - 18th century.

Historical remains in and around Armação de Pêra

• Remains of the 17th century fort on the water front in Armação de Pêra:  The fort was built to protect the fishermen from the attacking pirates and corsairs that were coming across the sea from north Africa. The base of the fort is still in tact (offering fabulous views of the beachfront from the top) and the gateway is still standing on the town side.
